Athletics  St. Joseph School offers interscholastic sports for boys and girls in grades 6 – 8.  Girls may participate in volleyball, basketball, and track.  Boys are offered basketball and track at St. Joseph and are eligible to participate in football and wrestling with the public school teams.

Music  St. Joseph students study general music in Little Angels Preschool, through 8th grade.  All 5th & 6th grade students are in band with participation being optional for 7th and 8th graders.  Two all school music programs are held during the school year; a Christmas program in December and a Spring program in May.

Field Trips  Our students have the opportunity to go on many field trips during the school year because of our generous parents who offer to drive for these events.  The Stuhr Museum in Grand Island, the Lincoln Children’s Museum, and the Lied Center for the Performing Arts in Lincoln are just some of the trips that our children take.

Art  Our school is lucky to be able to offer the visual arts to our students with classes in drawing, painting, and pottery.  Each class travels to Whistle Stop Pottery in York where the students get an opportunity to work with clay and create a project from beginning to end.

Classroom and All-School Projects  Class projects are as varied as our teachers’ imaginations.  Seasonal activities include peeling, slicing, and baking an apple pie in Kindergarten, caroling at local retirement communities for Christmas in 4th Grade, and the Student Council’s food drive for Easter.
